I am guided by the values that make Missouri strong; faith in God, love of family, and preservation of the freedoms our constitution guarantees.
I was born and raised with two brothers in Missouri. I attended Drury College in Springfield where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. My career began in St. Louis working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an accounting department supervisor.
In 1977, my husband Randy and I moved to Callaway County. I served the community by teaching and coaching in the South Callaway School District for 28 years. My time as a teacher and coach provided an in-depth knowledge of education policy and a keen understanding of the needs of Missouri families. We raised our two children in Callaway County who have both since married and have each blessed us with a grandson!
I learned the value of service to community, the ethics of hard work, and the importance of personal integrity from my parents. Those values have been reinforced throughout my life. In 2006, I retired from a successful career in education. Elected in November 2008, I am running for my third term as State Representative in the newly drawn 49th district which includes a majority of Callaway County and the northwest portion of Jefferson City.
