Responsible Government:
I believe in maintaining a fiscally sound state government. Fighting tax increases and eliminating wasteful spending is a must for Missouri.
Preserving Traditional Family Values:
The mother of two grown children, I fully understand the miracle and gift of life. With my strong faith, conservative convictions and personal passion for children, no one will be a better advocate for the unborn. From conception to natural end, I am 100% prof-life and will continue to defend those values.
Defending the Second Amendment:
I am a strong advocate for 2nd Amendment rights guaranteed by our Constitution. I have been a longtime Life Member of the National Rifle Association. I understand the fundamental right of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. In my first year in the Missouri Legislature I have worked hard to advance a pro 2nd amendment agenda.
Educating Missouri Children:
As a retired school teacher and coach, education is a top priority. It is the door to Missouri’s future. Every child should have access to a world class education. College and vocational schools must be affordable.
Pro-Small Business & Agriculture:
I support limited government intervention in our small businesses and family farms. The spirit of competition in free enterprise creates economic growth and job opportunity if not stifled by government red tape. Our Missouri Farmers put food on our tables, provide jobs in our rural communities, and provide new uses for their products including energy alternatives for the future.
Energy:
I am currently working to increase our state’s energy independence as a member of the Energy and Environment Committee and the Joint Committee on Missouri Energy Future. I want to promote alternative energy sources here and across the nation especially nuclear energy. I believe taking the lead on alternative energy will help create new jobs and business investment.
